CCUM is an actor of the higher education area by
offering programs, services and facilities to foster both students’ academic
success and their personal and professional development, and by encouraging the
creation of a lively university community. Its expertise comes from the long-term
activity of University Colleges and from the professional students affairs
associations it belongs to (NASPA, ACUHO-I).
In the broadest
extent of the term, Student Affairs and Services include all the services and
support activities thought for students, except for the academic ones.
Student Affairs and Services professionals deal with a huge variety of
tasks: from managerial activities (facility management, job placement and
career guidance services) to more educational ones (orientation, soft skills
trainings, counselling). Further duties include fundraising, promotion of entrepreneurship,
assessment, lobbying and institutional relations.
